Breaking Up is Hard to Do

I have been with my boyfriend for 2.5 years. Had lots of fun times, but things were really changing since my daughter graduated from high school and may be moving out this year. And if she doesn't, I may have to cut out the cable to give her more incentive to leave. Just kidding. I want my cable and Internet.

I was going to meet his parents this month, and I was cleaning out my house so I could move in with him. He made it clear he doesn't want to get married. Well, that didn't sit well with me. Leasing out my house, getting rid of my furniture, and going to live with someone, and no commitment. And, add on the fact he got a new dog recently that would like to eat my cats, and McKinney....blah.

He asked me if I would really be happier without him in my life. Well, I really had to think about that. I know that I'll be very unhappy for a while.  I also think I would be unhappy to settle, so either way, it just sucks for now, but it too shall pass. The joke is that you must get under another man to get over a man. Just kidding....not my style, but I find that humorous....thanks Joanna.

But for the good news. I've lost 5 lbs already this week and there is no extra junk in my house. I've made at least 12 trips to drop off all kinds of stuff to donate to Frisco Resale. So time to talk myself up....like my daughter does. I'm cute, funny, a hard worker, creative, and fun to be around. So now I have a plane ticket to Harrisburg, PA. You think US Airways will let me change the destination to the Virgin Islands?

So for starters, focus on spending time with my girlfriends, golfing, and maybe even working out. I used to know a lady that would burn sage to cleanse an area. Maybe I'll do that, but probably not. I'd probably set my dang house on fire. I've had enough close calls. Pot roast on fire in house in Austin in oven. Back yard fire from grill at house in Arlington...had to call fire department for that one, chicken wing fire at house in Grapevine (Diane....you remember...that is the moment I decided to get divorced from the kid's dad because he had a fit that I almost burned the house down) and burnt pork chops here recently while I forgot about them and was working in the yard.
